What are the main benefits of coming on one of your retreats?
Our health retreats are inspiring, effective and educational – empowering you on your journey to better health and wellbeing. Whether your goal is weight loss or to kickstart a fitter/healthier regime, we will help you achieve them – whilst having fun along the way. From nutritionally balanced meals to varied exercise programmes, you will leave buzzing from your new found energy and reduced waistline. We are super-friendly, approachable and are genuinely passionate about helping you on your journey.
I’ve not exercised in years...Will I be ok?
Totally! Our retreats cater for all and can be adapted for all levels. We are with you every step of the way – encouraging, offering support and ensuring you feel comfortable throughout. You can do it!
What happens on a typical day?
Our retreats include 3-4 hours of exercise daily (adapted for all levels). Each day also includes healthy organic, natural and tasty meals and will help relax and restore your health whilst enhancing your overall wellbeing. The afternoons will be your own – to relax as you wish. Check out the retreat pages for more details.
What SHOULD I PACK?
Here is a sample list below:
- Sun hat/sun glasses
- Shorts/t-shirts/leggings etc
- Sweatshirt (for any chilly evenings)
- Water bottle (that we will refill every day)
- Light, small backpack for hiking
- iPod/books (afternoons are free to relax)
Beach towels are provided.
Please bring your own personal medication (we cannot administer any tablets).
A small case is recommended as you will only really need your training clothes, swimwear and casual clothes for afternoons/evenings. Sweatshirts are advisable for the evenings as it can get chilly sometimes. (Check the weather of your destination before you leave for a more reliable forecast!)
Money: The only money required will be for your own personal requirements – if you wish to go off site and have a wander (not to a restaurant or bar though!) or have spa treatments etc.
What will I eat?
We don’t believe in fad diets. We favour healthy, balanced living and want to nourish your body with organic, natural, fresh food that gives you energy and helps recovery. Whilst portion size is controlled, we do provide three tasty and nutritious meals a day and superfood snacks to sustain you between meals and throughout your fitness journey.
We can cater for most dietary requirements. Please inform us if you have any food allergies.
If you drink coffee, we suggest you start to reduce your intake a week or so before the retreat, as the detox process requires no toxins and some people may experience caffeine withdrawal effects.
How many people are on EACH retreat?
We pride ourselves on the small size of our retreats (maximum 10 people) to ensure each and every one of you receives a personalised service and is made to feel special.
Why is the cost of flights not included?
This allows you to make your own choice as to who you fly with, where you fly from and how much luggage you bring. Some people like to stay on for a bit of a holiday afterwards, so that is also an option. However, we will advise on the most convenient flight times to ensure you get the most out of your retreat. In most cases it involves arriving at your destination airport before midday on the first day and departing from lunchtime onwards on the last day.
I LOVE THE SOUND OF YOUR RETREATS, but can I come on my own?
Of course! Our retreats are really friendly and inclusive. For some people this might be their first health and fitness retreat – for others it might be their 5th! Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You can be sure to enjoy yourself and you'll certainly leave having made new friends and feeling healthier.
