Health & Wellbeing Workshops

 

Our Health & Wellbeing Workshops are engaging, informative and interactive sessions, inspiring and fun to help you make changes to your diet and lifestyle. Aimed at improving health, energy and performance they are an easy way to develop new skills improve wellbeing and help reduce absenteeism. Workshops last between 45-90 minutes (facilitated by a DBC Health Retreat professional) and can be delivered as a "Lunch and Learn' session or tailored to your schedule.

1) HEALTHY JUICING

A fun, interactive juice tasting session creating fantastic, healthy and nourishing juices and protein shakes from fresh, organic and delicious ingredients. Learn about the various nutritional and wellbeing benefits of juicing.

2) HOW TO AVOID THE AFTERNOON ENERGY SLUMP

Learn how to prevent the mid-afternoon energy slump. This workshop provides diet and lifestyle recommendations and teaches you how to make a range of healthy snacks that will help you stay alert, boost energy and concentration – like cacao and coconut energy balls and chia seed power balls. Learn about superfoods and their benefits with a handy recipe card and snacks to take away at the end of the session.

3) Positive posture PILATES workshop

Learn proper body alignment and posture principles, exercises and stretches by participating in this pilates session. We will focus on the core and posture to help alleviate muscle tension caused by poor sitting and standing.

The average office worker spends six to nine hours at a desk. This can be stressful to your body, especially if combined with inactivity and poor nutrition. This workshop teaches you how to have a more natural posture to stave off injury. More info

4) Breathing Awareness Workshop

Discover simple yet amazing vital breathing techniques. Mindfulness is described as the psychological process of bringing your attention to to the external and internal experiences happening in the present moment, we will learn techniques to relieve stress and tips on how to implement mindfulness.

Our therapist will help you identify bad breathing habits and teach exercises that help to remove restrictions, that we place on our respiratory systems.

When you are feeling challenged, stressed,frustrated or problems with sleeping, these techniques can be helpful and used anywhere.

They’ll know how to give their body the breathing pattern it needs for optimum health, whilst feeling better, more energetic and more at peace.

5) mental Awareness Workshop

Poor mental health is now the number one reason for staff absence. Our workshops offers cost-effective ways to promote wellbeing in your workplace How chronic stress can lead to anxiety disorders, depression and/or physical illness

You will learn how to identify important stress warning signals, easy to learn stress busting techniques, create a mentally healthier working environment that immediately improves wellbeing in the workplace and helps prevent mental health problems As a result, efficiency improves, sick leave and staff turnover are reduced and overall productivity and profit are optimised: a win-win situation..
